Thats not true though, thats not the general opinion of him over here. Mabye the odd idiot but the majority dont think like that.
I was about to post the same. Seriously though it's great that common folk can still get this kind of stuff to read from their local library, long may it continue. Long live the local library!!
Read it,its a good read although im sure most boxing fans would have heard about most of the things in the book, killing a fighter,Pedroza fight, the troubles, the Cruz fight..
i was gonna buy it when I saw he was doing a signing at my local Waterstones, but then I was off work that day so couldn't get it After listening to him on Bunces show I was mad for getting it, but then I had a flick through it in the shop and its only a short read, big font, widely spaced words, like Frochs, I'd get through it in 5 minutes. Think I'll wait for the Library to get it in
I bought it and skimmed through it and noticed it doesnt touch on the Eastwood thing at all. I thought McGuigan would have offered his take on it now, especially after Eastwood gave his side of the story in his recent book. I am not as keen to read it now.
**** you ****. You just havent got the maturity to deal with the matter of fact truth. Sometimes the truth is bad - but thats just the way it is. Why should I not mention a significant part of his life when briefly going over his life story - where he killed a man ? When I think about Barrys career - I always remeber that incidnet - because its somethings that sticks out in the mind - and probaly left a powerful impact on his as a man. What should I do - not mention it - in case it offend the likes of you who get offended by the truth ? :-( That does not make me a ****.
