Bars showing Boxing in Austin TX?

    Huge boxing fan.

    Im flying into Austin on Saturday night and dont want to miss the Donaire/Rigondeaux fight on HBO. Are there any bars that will be showing the fight..really dont want to miss this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cant find much info online :patsch:patsch:patsch

    I live in s.a and I can tell you, in San Antonio you have to look for the Mexican bars. Not "on the border" but like Mexican Mexican bars. I would think its the same for Austin. They probably have "ojos locos" in Austin. Its like a Mexican hooters... Austin may have one, or bikinis

    Check if your hotel has HBO wherever you are staying

    Staying at someones condo in Downtown Austin with no HBO

    @texboxing00 thanks for the suggestions.

    There is no ojos locos in Austin but there is a Bikinis within walking distance! My experience with those kinds of sports bars is that they will only be showing basketball and other mainstream sports.. do you think they would put HBO on if requested? thanks

    I actually had tickets for the donaire fight but had to sell them since I was heading to Austin.

    So just flip your buddy $10 and have him sign up for HBO for the month.Don't get cheap.:lol:

    If there is no chance to find a pub, then go to a Internet cafe, which has 24 hours open .. but the quality will be bad. Better than nothing.

    check out Casa Garcia's they usually show boxing in the bar area and there's a few locations around town. Call in advance to make sure they'll be showing it.

    Barfly's will definitely have it and is a great dive bar
