No details released on why Ran ran. I hadn't expected him to vacate. I've never seen Commey so I don't know if he's legit or not. Big fan of Easter, though.

Presumably he's leaving the desolate landscape of 135 for greener pastures. I haven't seen Commey either, but there's no way Rances ducks anyone coming off wins over 2 Georgians with a combined 44 defeats.
In the grand scheme of things, this may have been a way for Haymon to get Easter a title shot without having to risk Ran losing his zero before he lands a bigger fight. I agree that Barthelemy doesn't come off as someone who'd duck Commey.
He'd be a big welterweight- it's insane that he can make 135, and it's even more freakish that he can make it and not look like a walking corpse. Typically, fighters that tall in the lower weights tend to have chin issues. It's going to be interesting to see whether or not Commey can crack him, but it seems solid thus far.
