I agree, they definately dont do this now in the UFC where the nes best thing gets promoted very easily as the best and greatest.

In MMA Im afraid it cant be helped, too many people want to jump aboard the hype train... its the nature of youth, and MMA has a young fanbase.

Not really. This is specific to the UFC. They were the ones that gave him the "push". And marketed a guy with no background in MMA.
