Tua would beat the version of Arreola we saw tonight. He looked like garbage. He obviously hasn't been training in the gym much since the loss. Although a slimmer, more motivated Arreola might yield a different result.
Sloppy and fat yes, but i think arreola confirmed he's got very good power as he bashed in a very tough guy who'd never been stopped (though not against very good comp). his power and gameness alone makes him a legit top 10 guy in this weak division. you can't compare him to ruiz who eeks out wins through guile and illegal tactics
Depends on Tua, Sure CA can be hit but can his opponent take his? We know Tua had great chin as a younger fighter in '09 I would have to say it is untested. Someone would get blasted out.
If that alone makes him a legit top 10 HW, then IMO that just further illustrates how shitty the division has been & will remain for the foreseeable future.
a chin does not go away and tua has never been seriously hurt or staggered throughout his career. arreola's power is overrated, he's not that hard of a puncher. his win over minto doesn't convince me the slightest, it was supposed to be a flawless win for arreola but he struggled greatly. in all honesty, i dont see how any version of arreola beats tua. the blueprint to beating tua is to utilize a good strong jab, work angles, and create distance. three things arreola doesn't know how to do, he's a brawler. and i dont think he has the power to hurt tua, he leaves himself open ALOT and gets hit ALOT. thats the recipe for a tua left hook to the jaw resulting in unconciousness.
this is such an amazing elaboration, one can learn from such an in depth analysis from one of the best posters on ESB.atsch give me a break
no he didn't, lewis hit tua with everything and tua didn't even budge. wtf does that have to do with anything??
