Based on styles, Mayweather-Pacquiao cannot possibly live up to expectations

That's why it will extremely be exciting if the fight happens.

You may not sleep before the fight night.

It'll be a drama free fight most likely. Pac will swarm and fire lots of shots, Mayweather will stay composed, block a lot of them and land crisp counters. The early rounds will be Pacs, the mid-rounds competitive but slow, the last four Mayweather's.

The scores will be debateable, With one wide card for Floyd, and two close ones either way. Floyd will win an MD.

I agree, ive always felt this way which is why im not tripping over this fight not happening. It's obviously going to be a technical fight and not an all out brawl and im fine with that but for sure, this fight isn't going to live up to its hype that's for sure. Easy win for Floyd and i dont wish to see it.

DLH - PBF didnt live up to the hype, neither did DLH - Hopkins both of those are hyped to the max and could never live up to it.

I think the styles though with PBF-Pac play out really well. Pac is going to have to be aggressive because he cant outbox Floyd on the outside. Pac is open enough defensively for Floyd to land some good counters on him. At some point Pac will be down on rounds and Roach will have to tell him he needs a knockout.

I expect Pac to bring out the best in floyd similiar to Hatton because of his aggressive style, Floyd will have to be aggressive back

I don't think this is an assumption that you can easily make, if Floyd can reproduce the display against SSM, and Pac can put the pressure on Floyd then who knows. For certain it will be a boxing masterclass, but if they can both produce what we know they're capable of then it could well be the classic that we're all hoping for.

Defensive styles somehow plays into Manny's advantage. It makes him more aggressive and propels him to be relentless which makes it hard for his opponent to tee off.

The way i see it, it will be a beatdown in Pac's favor. Manny"s southpaw stance, awkward angles and posture, relentlessness, fast combos, high workrate, accuracy, speed, boundless stamina, strong punch resistance and confidence are concomitant attributes that will create problems for Floyd because he has not face someone with all those qualities.

It will be an entertaining fight because it will be a beatdown. Don't react like it's not possible. Nobody expects Oscar and Cotto to get a beatdown, eh?

People have been waiting long for this and they will witness it. It's time for Floyd to get humbled as well as his fans. Come Nov. 14, Manny fans will rule esb and beyond.

floyd doing against pac what he did against mosley will not only live up to expectation but exceeds it.

my thin hope lies on how strong pac is against floyd's punches.

if pac again surprises and take floyds accurate punches, then he will be risking a lot and take a lot of hits just to get to floyd. hed be laying traps and forcing the fight everywhere and floyd will finally have the challenge he always needed. watching these two infinitely step another level each time the other does would be a treat for the ages!..

reality tho is floyd is a lot bigger and pac is still fighting at a weight above his optimum.

what a boring life we have.

Hardly a chess match. You are describing a boxing masterclass with only one master boxer. Manny is not a master boxer in the technical sense. This is what makes the fight interesting and I think the fight will live up to its hype. Manny only knows one thing offense. He still has the same flaws, only he is faster and stronger (hmmm, i wonder why). I believe if Floyd gets tagged early (and he will), Floyd will be more aggressive. He did this against both Hatton and Mosley. That gives Manny a chance to KO Floyd. I don't see Manny winning but this will be a classic brawler vs boxer and should be entertaining. I pick Floyd in a wide decision.

Well put I especially like the line that I put in bold. Most casual fans aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate skilled boxing and only like fights with constant action but though they're exciting not every fight is like that. If a fighter like Mayweather can turn a fight into their own then I appreciate that. Hate him or love him the guy lives and sleeps with boxing on his mind and is a dedicated guy that this sport needs. Months ago I've criticized his recent opposition but come to think of it it's not too bad. He beat Zab and looked like he could've stop him even after having early problems, moved up to beat DLH, beat an undefeated Hatton and beat & kept his composure against Mosley after being hurt in the 2nd round. If he adds Pacquiao to that list then his resume won't be too bad.
