Based on Styles would Spence and Crawford be favored against Pernell at 147?

Pernell struggled against lesser opponents like Taylor and lost to bigger guys like Oscar and Tito. How do you think Crawford and Spence would've fared?

They would both have to stop a prime Pernell, he would dance around them and make them miss all night. Crawford would fare better simply due to having foot speed, not on Pernell’s level but maybe enough to get close to him. Errol would have to back him up into the ropes or a corner to have success as he wouldn’t be able to cut off the ring quick enough. Oscar & Tito both have better foot speed than Spence. Tito was always on his toes, Errol seems flatter.

I might favor Crawford but not Spence.

Taylor ? When did Whitaker ever fight Taylor ? You might want to check that one again.

And once again no context in your post what so ever, Whitaker was coming back from an almost 2 year lay off vs Trinidad and was shot. Past his prime vs ODLH and barely lost.

Remind me again when Spence or Crawford fought anyone remotely close to a prime Trinidad or ODLH ?whilst being past their prime aswell ?

I may favour Spence, but not probably not Crawford. I think Spence would just be too big and strong for him. I say he outmuscles and outworks him but still struggles with the movement and defense of Sweet Pea. Spence wins a MD over 12 rounds

Crawford would be a tough fight for Whittaker aswell, with him also being quite a bit before bigger aswell as being a very smart and versatile fighter, but he's more of a thinker than Spence and I think that would allow Whittaker get in more of his own work. I think the fight ends in an split decision that could go either way but I'd favour Whittaker to take it.

This is just based off of what we've already seen though. Their upcoming fight will probably give everybody more of an idea as to how they'd deal with greats like Whittaker.
