Based on which 154 performances are people favouring GGG over Mayweather and Lara?

What evidence do we have that he hits just as hard at LMW? :huh I always wondered. For all we know, he looked a bit dodgy against a C class LMW Rosado at a weight he's comfortable at - how exactly is he gonna catch - let alone stop - Mayweather/Lara tier boxers at a weight class he's never fought at? Like, I don't see it at all. Rosado was one of his very few somewhat elusive opponents (probably due to coming from a lighter weight class) and Golovkin didn't look as comfortable as he's used to even though he won without too much hassle.

Also keep in mind, he's almost 5′ 10½″tall which would be quite big for a LMW. I could see him being drained.

its not one particular fight, its his skills, power, ring IQ, defense (yes defense) and his chin. anybody who puts lara in the same world as floyd is just tarded. not even close to same skill sets and lara is phukin chinny.

GGG would totally destroy lara in a few rounds, soon as lara tried to land anything other than a jab, that would be the beginning of the end. end would come between round 3-6 max. could come as soon as first clean power shot landed.

as for floyd, i am his biggest REAL fan and even i know he would be just flat out outgunned but he would go out on his sheild like the warrior he is.F floyd was a natural MW, like entered around that weight when he started it would be a 50/50 fight for me.

but floyd would be 147-150 against a GGG thats like 165-170. size dont mean shat unless you have 2 fighters unbelievably skilled like those two.

when you have the 2 very best fighters in the sport the size it what would end up separating them in the ring. i dont even know which fighter i love more but i would HATE this fight cause floyd would NOT stop trying everything to win and that would result in a furious very sad ass beating.

i know i know i think way too highly of GGG. if you say so, BUT i have way too many decades dedicated to this great sport and these are the ONLY 2 fighters i have seen live that are like NO others. both once in a lifetime type operators.

    let the hate continue

Firstly, Golovkin was ill against Rosado.

Secondly, and whilst he seems to have filled out a little recently, he still weighs roughly the same as many LMWs on fight night.

I think Gabriel Rosado weighed in at 154 against Jermell Charlo the other night but 24 hours later had rehydrated to 172.

Here's some more fight night weights for LMWs.

    Saul Alvarez 153 ½ - Austin Trout 154 ¼

    fight night

    Alvarez 172 - Trout 171

    Alfredo Angulo 153 ½ - Erislandy Lara 153 ¾

    fight night

    Angulo 174 - Lara 164

Kermit Cintron weighed 153 when he fought Angulo

    fight night

    169

    Joel Julio 154 - James Kirkland 153

    fight night

    Julio 167 - Kirkland 166

    Carlos Molina 153 ¾ - James Kirkland 153 ¾

    fight night

    Molina 170 - Kirkland 174

    Sergio Martinez 154 - Alex Bunema 153 ½

    fight night

    Martinez 165 - Bunema 165

    Saul Alvarez 154 - Shane Mosley 154

    fight night

    Alvarez 167 - Mosley 164

    Fernando Vargas vs Mosley 154

    fight night 168

Paul Williams against Erislandy Lara 153 ½

    fight night 170

Joshua Clottey against Diego Corrales 149

    fight night

    170

Golovkin starts camp at about 167-168 and weighs the same on fight night most of the time, with the exception of the Macklin fight where he weighed 170. Not sure what he weighed for his last two fights, though.

Mayweather hasn't looked great at 154. What evidence do we have that GGG would not perform well at 154?

Based on styles, Mayweather will face more difficulties trying to handle Lara than he will GGG.
