Bash Ali, former IBF-USBA and WBC International cruiserweight champion (who challenged for the cruiserweight world championship 3 separate times) returns to the ring at the ripe old age of 69 to fight against 'Prince' Bob Alagoro. Wow.

    "New Era Boxing Promotions"

His opponent looks like a senior citizen also, that's probably why It's getting sanctioned.

I'm very disappointed "Bash Ali" was not a nickname for Kash Ali.

Hope the venues locality "Opposite General Hospital" is just a concidence.

From reports 'Prince' Bob Alagoro a former Nigerian Champ has fallen on hard times.

Hope the event aids his coffers, and that Prince and Bash leave the ring with health intact.

Had a look through Bash Ali's career record on BoxRec and in the latter half of his career, there are entries for 14 fights against novices and each and every one of them never fought again. Big coincidence? Or just plain falsifications?

I can't believe this is actually a thing. It really gets my my miserable old boxing fan with Rose Colored Glasses juices flowing.

I truly truly wish all the young people on here could have lived through the 70s 80s and 90s, it seems there were always great fights happening at all different weights, we didn't have all these huge gaps in time waiting for good fighters to get together.

The true all-time greats must be looking down from wherever they are up there shaking their heads and laughing at the Ridiculousness of this situation. 70-year-old Fighters, GTFOH

The former half of his career wasn't that bad though, he was only stopped by Henry Tillman and a journeyman (early in his career), won the NABF, WBC Intl, and USBA cruiserweight regional titles, but was throrougly outboxed by several opponents, but managed to stay relevant in the cruiserweight division for a decade, going the distance with Ralf Rocchigiani, Bobby Czyz and Carlos de Leon for the WBO, WBA and WBC titles

Agreed, but I think there's been some creative accounting going on in the second half of his career.
