Does anyone know the address of Battersea boxing club? I am in Clapham and I think that is the closest gym to me but I can't find the address. Cheers.
Alright Mate. When i went it was Caius Club Holman Road, Battersea SW11. Near Badric Court. Off York Road. You see the big Church and it's there. But reading the ABAE club finder it says the following. I was a kid when i went there and i have mates who boxed there. I looks like they have moved it. Personally it's not the best club. Didn't like Mel's training at all. Only used one Pad and said ''well the fighter only has one head'' so you can imagine the padwork he did...truly shocking. Dunno who does it now but give the fella a call and see what he says. Ernest Bevin College has good facilities. There are other clubs in the area. Earlsfield ABC which again is a gym with a trainer who is like marmite. I can't stand the fella and i know many who don't either. Sid Khan the name. Ermm..you can try them..Garratt Lane Wandsworth near Arndale (Southside Centre). Any Probs Just bump the thread mate.
Fitzroy Lodge is in Vauxhall mate - 2 miles from Clapham (open training at 7.30pm at the Lilian Baylis School, club nights in the actual gym every other night). Alternatively try Miguel's in Brixton - decent gym. Or alternatively again, try Rooney's in London Bridge - 4/5 miles from Clapham but only 20 minutes on bike.
Yeah try Fitzroy. **** knows how i forgot that. I'm gonna start going there myself. I think they are open to public in the midday. Pay £5 to train down there i think..need to find out about that. One of best amateur gyms in London!!
