True! Even though it was one sided PAC and Cotto put on a great performance. It was an exciting fight. Similar to the Marg/Cotto fight except less competitive.

Pac had great anticipation of Cotto.

Cotto seemed to be a bit one dimensional as he didn't use feints or a hook. Pac was leaning in with his rear hand down. Zero adjustments.

    Cotto was way out gunned.

Not really slow, Pac is simply too fast for him.

Listening to Manny Steward break down Cotto's flaws makes it really to see how his bad habits led to unnecessary punishment and a less effective offense. He's leaning on the front foot so heavily limiting his movement and telegraphing weighted punches, all the while taking away his height and severely limiting his vision by using that peekaboo defense. I hope Steward continues to do great work with him. Pac looks really impressive in this video, he knows exactly how to avoid a shot coming back at him.

Look at how Pacquiao over commits himself to the point of almost being off balance, all the while bringing his head forward for that straight left. Dude is begging for an uppercut.

Look at how low he holds his hands after he delivers the punch, just asking to be countered. No wonder he won't fight JMM or FMJ.

He won't fight JMM at 147 because he's afraid of committing murder. (and he doesn't want to KO an opponent in just 1 round)
He won't fight Floyd because the latter is still suffering from loose balls. (I heard this morning they fell off again and poor Floydie is looking for them still)

That's how Pac has always been but because of his quick reflexes and underrated recuperative ability, no one was able to capitalize on his weaknesses.
What do you think, his previous opponents didn't know this ****?
Do you want me to post that "same move every time" video of Hatton and Floyd Sr and how he got KD by the punch he was trying to mock?

Pac is not your typical boxer.
This is why his previous opponents were often complaining about the difficulty of finding a sparring partner -- Pac's style is so damn difficult to imitate.

Yeah Cotto keeps too much weight up forward and then Manny over extends too much, but Cotto didn't take advantage of it but Marquez did and Floyd will

I hope that you're on Pac's payroll because such blind allegiance should be rewarded. Because of his quick reflexes? How about because of his careful cherry picking he fought slow, flat footed guys, that were unable to capitalize on his obvious weaknesses.

To use ******* logic, if JMM is such an easy fight, why not fight him, make a ton of money, remove any doubt about the past 2 fights, and silence the critics all all the same time? This isn't like Pac won't make money. Surely JMM is more marketable than Clottey isn't he? As far as Mayweather, when Pac agrees to the tests, then come talk to me. :hi:

even when Cotto tried to double up on the jab, Pac saw it coming and countered.

it's all about footwork really. That little sidestep Pac takes to keep his foot on the outside. It's subtle but makes the whole difference.
