Nope, haters rarely take into account the performance of a good fighter when trying to beat down the fighter they put their money on.

Yet another reminder that Pacquiao-Cotto was one of the real elite masterclasses of this age. Very, very rarely does someone beat down on such a top quality opponent who is also bigger and heavier than them.

That counter jab is sick but his counter right hook is a thing of bueaty or even better.

A nice 3 punch shot here:

Look at Pacs timing here. Right at the point when Cotto just set up his right foot and before his left foot is planted, Pac went quickly for the attack. Pacs timing is underrated.

He's not really in a position to be countered considering that Pac is the one doing the counterpunching in this scenario... Cotto starts to jab, Pac steps a bit to his right (his feet are always on the outside), ducks and unleashes his left. His faster hands and feet ensuring he hits Cotto first.

Even if Pac throws first, how exactly is Cotto supposed to hit Pac there? Pac is already leaning to his right, so obviously Cotto can't hit him with a right as it's too far... an uppercut? but he's already committed to the jab and besides, the important thing here is Pac is moving to his right when he does this, not exactly the ideal position for Cotto to hit him with an uppercut. A left hook then? Perhaps, but we all know the left hook isn't really a punch that troubles Pac.

The straight left is Pac's best offensive weapon and he's been using it effectively and often since the beginning. If it's so horrible and easy to exploit, considering how often he throws it, I doubt he'd have beaten the fighters that he has. Pac has his share weaknesses and flaws, his straight left isn't on that list.

I just noticed that these 2 GIF's are in 2 separate occasions on that fight. The way he countered Cotto's double jab on 1st video looks like a carbon copy of what he did on 2nd video below.
