Sanders and I'd put money on it. He's a harder, faster, more accurate puncher. Coetzee could crack for sure but Sanders is the guy with the numerous other boxers saying that he was the biggest hitter they ever faced. I also think that primes, Sanders had the stamina and footwork edge too.
I think I'll pick Coetzee for this one. Coetzee was more durable, more dangerous, and had no issues dealing with faster fighters. He'd find Sanders' chin like he did with Dokes, Thomas, and Snipes, and take him out, as Sanders wasn't extremely durable when it came down to getting hit.
I’m not comfortable betting on either man. I’ll just say that it would be a good fight and the winner is up for grabs
Never really bought into Coetzee. He hit alright but was pretty methodic and predictable, not a ton of speed or snap unless you were right on the end of his punches. Corrie seemed a much more nature, dynamic puncher and a guy who really dug into a firefight when necessary. He had really quick hands and threw punches in bunches. I would be quite confident picking Sanders by KO in this one.
I’ll side with Gerrie’s chin and durability over Corrie’s stamina. Coetzee well behind after a five-round beatdown but is hanging in there when Sanders starts thinking about his tee time and wilting as he runs out of gas. Bionic right hand takes over and by nine Corrie is done.
I see it this way as well, but I'm not counting out an early Sanders KO either. Longer the fight goes on the more it heavily leans towards Gerrie.
