If Langford was "exactly" as he was in his career, I wouldn't bet that Langford would last one minute in a fight with Ortiz. There was NOBODY in Langford's time that was comparable to Ortiz. Ortiz is a 6-4, 240 pound southpaw who grew up in the Cuban system. Ortiz would have been too much for Langford when he was still a teenager. It's silly to bother to break down a mismatch like this, Ortiz could win doing whatever he wanted to do, it'd be like fighting his first pro fight, but watching Langford walk forward with his low left and visualizing Ortiz firing his right jab...it wouldn't last a minute. It'd just be a matter of whether Ortiz wanted to use the jab and swell him up/cut him first or just score a one punch knockout. As Ron Stander's wife put it, "like entering a VW in the Indy 500."
Fight could have happened at one point when Ortiz was a young prospect, sadly Langford didn't fancy it.
