Ex-Champions can become journeymen if they hang around too long, just as career journeymen can make good and become champions.

Look at Carlos Baldomir - he went from journeyman to champion and then back again. :yep

Also - EA, despite his record, was never considered by peers or boxing insiders to be a "journeyman" level talent.

I'd say Forbes and Augustus prime for prime are on pretty similar levels of ability p4p. Both are quite past prime (and can now probably safely be called journeymen), which makes this somewhat interesting.

Both guys known for getting bad decisions against them. Especially Forbes semi-recently with Hopkins and Cuello.

Drunken master has looked too drunken lately, and Forbes is a dog. He's a little fighter with alot of fight in him. I got respect for both. I'll be routing for the Drunken Master, but I think Forbes might edge him. Hopefully it will be good. Oh yea, Forbes was NEVER a journeyman. Where are they showing this one?

Worst possible matchup for Augustus at this stage of his career. Rather easy UD for Forbes. Master boxer against a old drunken master. Master boxer wins.

    It's off.

Forbes is now fighting Roberto Valenzuela, whose perfectly symmetrical record reads 55-55-2 (45) in going on 19 years as a pro.

Valenzuela has been knocked out by the likes of: Jose Luis Castillo (a few times), Andre Berto, Antonio DeMarco, Freddy Hernandez, Zahir Raheem, Miguel Espino, Nito Bravo, Ivan Valle, Antonio Pitalua, Mike Medina, Carson Jones, and over a dozen others of much lesser repute.

If Forbes doesn't join that "elite" club, despite not being a puncher by trade...it's time to say goodbye.

    Boooooo, is EA ok?

Anyway, yea I agree, if Forbes can't dispatch this guy, dare I say struggle in the least, it's time to hang 'em up. Hopefully the money Forbes' got for the DLH fight was intelligently invested.

A couple of different sites confirm that he's out and replaced by Valenzuela, but none say what the circumstances are or Emanuel's condition. :conf
