This fight was a hotly contested bout,held in Boston Mass it took place 11 months after Battling Jim held a broken- armed Jack Johnson to a draw. I saw some of his fights he could really bang. I wasn't suggesting that Battling Jim was multi talented, just pointing out that he was good enough by virtue of his strength ,and hitting power to draw with the premier heavyweights of his times on several occasions.
