It would depend upon a lot of factors, and mainly upon the rules. Hearns would put a horrible clinic on Nelson early in the fight, and it would probably be stopped if the officiators had any humanity. If however Nelson was allowed to get past a certain point, he would outlast Hearns and stop him. Anybody who doesn’t admire the fighters of Nelson’s era, doesn’t have a heart, and anybody who wants it back, doesn’t have a brain.
hearns is about as bad a matchup for nelson as it's possible to make. IF, and that is a massive if, nelson can take hearns shots for 15 rounds his odds increase with every further round, although i wouldn't fancy him on points i'd think a bodyshot related tko is his most realistic chance.
