Siki was durable..Ive seen basically nothing though so you may be right..It could go the other way also
He was thought of as an unskilled brawler with a punch, whereas Saad Muhammad was a skilled boxer-puncher to go with being a powerful puncher and skilled/resilient banger.
Carpentier was better...Siki was far more durable than muhummad and had a huge punch..It would be a war from the gate..Muhummad gets cutup or knocked out
Carpentier was very overrated, on paper his titles and accomplishments seem very impressive until you look at how managed his career was. On film he's certainly nowhere near as skilled or dangerous as Muhammad. Siki was a skill-less banger who fought most of his career overseas before scoring his big upset over Carpentier. After the win he basically went on to nothing, being beaten by any name (and many no-name) fighters he came across and being stopped on occasion. And I don't get the idea that Siki was more durable, considering the amazing toughness and resilience that Muhammad so often displayed throughout his career. I see no differences in power and/or durability, but a hige difference in skill that would give Muhammad any edges in a war or boxing match. It likely wouldn't even be terribly competitive, what with Saad's boxing ability leading his power. Not to mention you admitted to seeing next to nothing of Siki, yet you're so confident in his victory?
Matthew has 8 stoppage losses..Sometimes reading can give you an even more descript account. Its not out of the question..Siki lived a wreckless lifestyle but was more then capable of handing Muhummad a loss in focused condition.
Of which at least 7 came after he was past his best. Some will argue that even in the first Qawi fight too many wars had finally caught up to him. Well, they had to when you fought like he did. Certainly after the first Qawi stoppage he was never remotely the same again.
As JT said, the vast majority of those stoppage losses came when he was way past his best, as did the majority of his losses in general.
Saad's stoppage losses were after his prime ,when the many wars he had caught up with him, four of them were when he was from 34 to 38 years old and just a facsimile of the fighter he had been,Saad beat a lot of good fighters in an era of high quality LHy's.Siki's one claim to fame is beating Carpentier in what started out as a fixed fight. Both had power but Saad had more skills than the crude Siki, plus I think he was more durable, and because he was so durable he shipped a lot of punishment ,rather like Ali,I see him as a clear notch above Siki.
