Man, Amir lost, but that's life! He went to his backyard but that's what you should expect.

    Well done Peterson.

Sounds like David Haye told Amir what to say in the interview.

I've always been a big admirer of Peterson, I'm not sure how highly Mand and Slip rated him but I'll put my hands up and admit that I considered him to be a guy just short of the top, a potential world class 140lbser rather than a world class fighter full stop. If you predicted this then fair play, I appeared to be going against the grain by saying Lamont would take a few rounds and make it relatively competitive.

I usually say that I don't like/dislike fighters to any greater or lesser degree due to what they've done outside of boxing, but I'll happily be a hypocrite in this case, the fact that he's come from where he has makes it all the more sweet. We often talk about "modern Cinderella stories" but this one makes others almost pale in comparison.

Post fight interview shows that, doesn't lie at all and say whatever reinforces the referee's decisions, says exactly what he felt. Khan needs to get over himself, hopefully we won't hear this crap spouted continually in the coming years/decades.

Khans going to have to improve on the back foot if he is going to keep that style. After every attack he want to get out get some space and reset himself for when his opponent comes back into range. Peterson wouldn't let him tonight intelligently closed him down and quicker than Maidana. I'm sure he will come back stronger again. Made a **** of himself

Do Khan fan's still wonder why he's not massively liked? He fouled his way out of a win and has the audacity to blame the ref because he doesn't deem fighting on the inside effectively clean boxing. What a moron, take the loss like a man, Peterson already showed class to offer an immediate rematch and you put in a twattish interview like that? Show a little class.

Oh and for future reference forearms to the face and turning your back aren't viable options for stopping someone getting inside when the refs not just there to protect Khan from having to ship a few uppercuts (which he still can't defend)

When that search function comes back going to have to dig up Slips Peterson brothers thread from a year or two back. I'm pretty sure I've embarrassed myself in it now

I be honest Pab i felt the lad would win a world title, me an Slip liked look of him but IIRC were both worried he may never make it at this level. I'll try see if threads knocking about. I felt he'd perform ok today but refused to predict on fight because i never know with Khan and in a way was proved right.
