Bayless was excellent

That's because his boss Floyd wasn't fighting

 

I love Bayless come face. :yikes

 

Bayless is reliable and the best in the game. But his performance (obviously paid off) in Mayweather-Maidana II was disgraceful.

 

That's because Kenny Bayless has been known for some time and by some distance as the single best referee in all of boxing for quite some years now. He is great at what he does.

 

I do think Bayless was good tonight, and usually is. However, as contentious as this may be, I think he was poor in May/Maidana 2.

Simply because we had the first fight to compare it to. He seemed very trigger happy that night in comparison. The best referees are the ones that you don't notice until they are necessary.

That looked quite an easy fight to referee but yeah hes usually really good.

I don't know why people are complaining about his performance in Floydweather vs Maidana. He did exactly what he was paid to do and did a good job at protecting Floyd at all costs. If he had been there to be an impartial referee in a boxing match he would have failed miserably, but in ths case it was a flawless performance.

 

weeks in the first fight was worse then bayless in the 2nd

that first fight was a foul fest and just plain dirty, complete with unpunished muay thai knees

 

Bayless showed Byrd how a fight should be officiated. Robert Byrd was awful with all his lecturing and warning for things that are not illegal.

 

Too bad Bayless didn't allow Maidana the same opportunity as he did Robert last nite.
Very suspect.

 

Wouldn't trust him for the Pacquiao fight, he's too happy to tolerate clinching (the cancer of the sport).

 

Completely redeemed himself after Mayweather Maidana 2.
