Heavyweight boxer Dereck Chisora could face a life ban when he appears before a British Boxing Board of Control hearing on March 14 for his brawl with bitter British rival David Haye.

BBBC general secretary Robert Smith said prior to the announcement of the date of the hearing Chisora could face the career-ending punishment for the disgraceful scenes at the press conference following his loss on points to defending champion Vitali Klitschko in Saturday's WBC heavyweight title clash in Munich.
Chisora returned to the United Kingdom from Germany late Sunday following his astonishing altercation with Haye who he threatened to shoot.

Chisora was initially detained by German police, along with trainer Don Charles, at Munich airport as he was preparing to board a plane home.
The pair gave statements, but were released on Sunday evening and allowed to return home.

Haye's the one that deserves a lifetime ban. (We can only hope!)

Chisora's antics at the weigh in and in the ring with Wlad were despicable, but only deserving of a fine. His actions with Haye were actually OK with me. He stood up to a loud-mouth ****** who was obnoxiously interrupting the press conference.
His shouting "I'm going to shoot you" was over the top, but he obviously didn't mean that literally, and he had just been assaulted.

Fine Chisora, put Haye in jail for as long as possible, convince Vitali to retire, and let's get on with it already.

BBBoC should ban them until Haye and Chisora fight each other for free and BBBoC takes their purse, the winner prolongs his boxing license and the looser should be banned from boxing forever.

Stood up to? Chisora started the confrontation, he got right in to Hayes face. And physically did nothing but run his mouth then get his ass beat.

Are you high? Haye started the confrontation by interrupting the press conference.

Try thinking before you type. It's a beautiful thing.

Haye didnt threaten previously to assault Chisora. Haye didnt walk across the entire room take off his coat and act like he was gonna do something.

Haye didnt move or threaten anything. Chisora came at him and Haye had to defend himself. Haye could care less about a loser like Chisora. He wanted a match with Vitali.

Give both a huge fine and move on, I am absolutely against a ban for either of them.

Which part? Slapping, spitting, press conference brawling, death threats?

Pathetic. So Chisora gets glassed in the face, but he's the one he'll get a lifetime ban? ****ing ridiculous. The phots show Haye throwing a punch with a bottle in his hand. Why isn't he getting in trouble? Punching someone is worse than making threats. Seems like the authorities take words more seriously than assault.

David Haye could be in a lot of trouble. He could face" 5- 10 years" in prison in Germany if convicted of "grievous bodily harm" . But it was complete self defense so it is very unlikely.

haye could have walked away and avoided it, chisora is wrong for what he did, but this is boxing there is always face to face confrontations. dont mean you can go punching people like that. then picking up a ****ing tri[pod cos he is too scared to fight like a man the little *****, you can hear him screaming **** off, the he picks up the tripod like a girl and smacks adam over the heasd with it! thats using a weapon.
