Dear All I acquired a picture through my work which is a framed picture of all the guests at the British Boxing Board of Control 50th anniversary celebration held at the Café Royal in London in November 1979. With the frame being a little dirty I decided to remove the picture so that I could clean it up, and to my surprise it is actually an original press photo from the event and is in great condition, having been kept sealed in the glass frame all this time. I know a little bit about boxing however since this was taken in 1979 and I was just 9, I have no idea of anyone in the picture except the obvious (Henry Cooper). Before I decide what to do with this I wanted to pick the brains of the people on here to see if I could maybe put names to faces, however it appears that I can't attach a picture as I am new to the forum. Does anyone with computer knowledge know how I can set up a link to the pictures? They are on my own laptop but my IT skills are pretty poor! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks HMA
This forum doesn't allow picture uploads...It's been going downhill recently. Not many great quality threads around these days. This however should be a good one. First upload the image to imgur. Then take that imgur URL and paste it into your post (so the image will be hosted on imgur) http://imgur.com/ (from this website click upload from computer a window will then popup allowing you to select the file to upload)
It appears that I am not allowed to post links either for 2 months, so that has blown that idea. Sorry, but thanks for the info anyway. HMA
Screw it bypass it... Just post the final part of the imgur URL e.g: /0uxugI3.jpg from: http://i.imgur.com/0uxugI3.jpg
OK, here goes. Let me know if this works. There are 4 pictures in an album. After the website address is: /a/hKSQ3
As there have been no replies may I assume that the information contained in my previous post didn't work?
It worked. I'm clueless as you though...can only spot Cooper. http://imgur.com/a/hKSQ3 Maybe the classic boxing forum section would have done better with it.
