Chisroa is gone dominate that fool to a UD. And I honestly don't see how do many are picking Burns. He is a gold boxer don't get me wrong, but I think Mitchell is the naturally talented fighter. Once burns starts to coast, Kev will lead in with that spiteful left hook, work the body well, and stop Ricky late. No doubt in my mind

I don't understand the problem.

He can now fight without the risk of losing his Licence. Kevin has been preparing for a fight on July 14th. Katsidis had been offer the fight; Barrera has been rumoured and Ricky Burns is not ready

Kevin is fighting on the under card of Haye/Chisora.

BBBoC statement

BBBoC clarifies their stance on licence holders involved in Haye v Chisora
The British Boxing Board of Control today published a statement clarifying their stance regarding their licence holders who decide to take any part in the promotion headed by Dereck Chisora v David Haye.

The BBBoC said in their original statement of May 9th: "The Articles of Association (the Constitution) of the British Boxing Board of Control, to which every member has agreed to be bound, make it perfectly clear that the object of the British Boxing Board of Control is to control and regulate boxing in the United Kingdom. Any member of the British Boxing Board of Control who participates in any way in a promotion such as that referred to above would thereby evince an intention not to be bound by the Constitution of the British Boxing Board of Control and would act in a manner wholly incompatible therewith. In such circumstances the British Boxing Board of Control would accept that members repudiation of the Constitution as terminating his/her membership of the British Boxing Board of Control and his/her licence."

Presumably due to the threats of legal action from those potentially affected, the BBBoC has issued a clarification. In practice, it appears that the main difference is that the licence holders involved will first be called before the Board before they are kicked into touch. Hardly the 'embarrassing climb down' one of the parties involved in the promotion has called it today.

The BBBoC's statement today reads as follows:

On the 9th May 2012 the British Boxing Board of Control issued a statement about a possible promotion within the United Kingdom involving a contest between Derek Chisora and David Haye.

The Board understands that the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Boxe has granted Chisora and Haye boxing licences and has sanctioned the contest. For the reasons stated in the statement of the 9th May 2012 the Board condemns the actions of the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Boxe and strongly disapproves of the contest, which the Board considers will bring the sport of professional boxing into disrepute.

Whilst the Board in its statement of 9th May 2012 indicated that any member who participated (as defined therein) in such promotion, would be deemed to have terminated his/her membership of the British Boxing Board of Control, it has now decided that any such member will be called before the Board under regulation 4.9 of the Rules and Regulations of the British Boxing Board of Control which reads as follows: 4.9 A licence holders licence may be suspended or withdrawn by the Board: if, having called the licence holder before it, it reasonably considers that it is not in the interests or the welfare of boxing that the licence holder should continue to hold his licence."

Further, the Board has not sanctioned the "undercard" as it is an integral and necessary part of the promotion which the Board considers will bring the sport of professional boxing into disrepute.*Accordingly any member of the British Boxing Board of Control who participates in the "undercard" will be called before the Board under Regulation 4.9.

Perhaps it's just a legal thing. Maybe the boxers will have ther contracts terminated at the hearing

It just seems petty considering the Board were the ones that created a valid remedy. And more evidence of the behaviour Frank has been complaining about.
