They want to be seen to supporting the govt and from what we know atm Jan is looking like covid cases will be through the roof

 

I wonder if they're doing the promoters a favour? If they've taken event insurance out it may not kick in unless there's either word from the govt or alternatively if the BBBoC won't license an event maybe that would trigger it?

 

How many other sports potentially need medical help for every participant?

It’s surely a precautionary move in case shows get cancelled due to no doctors or standby ambulances being available - or to avoid using them.

 

That’s fine. If a show can’t get adequate medical professionals then don’t license them. The likes of matchroom and boxxer should not have an issue with the necessary staffing. Give the current hospital admissions have dropped daily for the last 6 days. Plus the reduction in isolation period and booster it be a bit premature from the board

 

The biggest problem in the next few weeks will be staff isolating - there are bigger demands than boxing promoters, even if they’re paying. You could say the same for football in Scotland which is about to give the police and ambulance services a 3 week break from having to bother about fixtures.
