Arena two weeks ago has concluded, and the Board overruled the official decision, a technical decision victory for the Bolton fighter. Barreras representative King filed the formal protest six days ago. We reviewed the tape and our committee unanimously agreed that due to the severity of Mr. Barrera's cut on the top of his head, referee Dave Parris should've called a halt to the contest immediately when the injury occurred. Since the Boards Rule Book states if an accidental injury forces the fight to be stopped before four (4) rounds have concluded, the official result shall be a No Contest (NC). The Manchester Morning Herald tried to reach both Mr. King and Frank Warren for comment, but neither side was available. An insider from the Khan team however told us that Warren is already in negotiations with three other names regarding a June 13 fight, possibly at Londons ExCeL Arena. Khan requested an immediate rematch vs. undefeated Colombian puncher Breidis Prescott, who scored a stunning one minute upset last September at the M.E.N. Arena. The other two names on the table are Edinburgh's Alex Arthur and Dagenham's Nicky Cook, who lost his Super Featherweight Championship on the Khan-Barrera card. It is possible that the WBO Interim Lightweight Championship will be on the line for the Pay-Per-View televised event.
Wake up dude check the date today :rofl David (ricky Gervais)brent is from the ofice lol Chares giles is the chairman of the BBBoc This fails
this would be the right thing to do but this kind of decision would have much greater ramifications than just the fight itself. It could ignite a deep look into corruption in the UK boxing world and heads could roll. Is there anyone brave enough to light a match on such a fire?
