fake ones! Happening too often. Damaging decent pros like Martin Murray and damaging the fans and damaging the sport.

    Do your job BBBoC!

At the very least, the boxer claiming the "injury" should be held to account. Doctors cert etc to prove injury is genuine. The other boxer needs to be reimbursed to compensate him for money he's lost due to the pull out.

Both BJS and Fury had no issue ripping into Haye for pulling out injured.

Later on down the line both have pulled out of fights more than once.

    Hypocrites

You’d imagine this would be catered for in the fight contract. It can’t be difficult to agree on an independent medical team in the contract that can review the veracity of all “injury” pull-outs and postponements. Seems pretty common sense to me if I was managing a fighter.

British autorities should think about testing the water. Somehow there's something in it that particularly targets boxers, causing them to get injured all the time...

Easy to get a doctors note for anything if you have the £££

Yes ..from your own doctor. But the clause would specify an independent doctor. That's the whole point.

110% agree on this! Get a doctor approved by both teams to verify injuries.

Should be stipulations for this as well, such as, if a fighter withdraws without full medical record of injury sent to the opponent they should be fined the cost of the opponenets training camp and if they can't afford that then it will be deducted from their next fight purse.

You'd soon see the amount of injuries reduce...

This fight was pulled because of poor ticket sales and it's a disgrace.

I would never buy a ticket for a FW show, always seemed to be getting called off or changed .

I see it here all the time, either the show goes on without the main event or it doesn't happen at all. It looks like it's the rule rather than the exception.
