Given a judges position publicly, be it before a fight or in one......theres so many situations that can affect a scorecard.

    Privately ?

    Same.

Will it in time turn to a scenario where a random is picked ?

Then in turn.....why are they picked ?

Too many people on here defending what was a shcoker of a scorecard.

There's no need to get complicated in trying to "arguably" defend a pitiful attempt at scoring.

You'd think with so many decisions going against an honest pro like John Simpson in the past that the BBBoC would actually instate the best available if possible to ensure no further debacles.

Simpson must be sick of it, you could argue it's become "fashionable" for him to get the "short end of the stick".

    Ask yourself -

    1) Is Simpson an honest pro ?

    2) Has he been given the short end of the stick throughout his career?

If you don't answer yes to both questions go re-watch his fights, sound down, on your own albeit with the benefit of TV Cameras.

Here's a final question - straight yes or no ..

Is there crookedness in British Boxing ?

    It was a good card.

It's mostly just bitter Scots that disagree with O'Connors card.

As Glen McCrory said, there were a lot of close rounds, and if you scored them all to Stephen Smith it makes sense.
