I never heard it personally, but apparently Radio 5 Live had last nights fight equal through 6 and gave Malignaggi the 10th. So Hatton was 2 rounds ahead on their scorecard at the point of stoppage. :rofl

I remember reading their RbR on the site and I'm sure they gave Collazo the Hatton fight.

And I'm sure they had Hopkins winning the Calzaghe fight on their site.

I listened to the Haye/Mormeck fight and listening to them, you'd think Haye was on the verge of losing all night, but when I watched it myself, I thought Haye was generally in control.

They seem to be the most negative towards our fighters in the media, is it because they have no boxing themselves ya think?

    Bunce, any ideas?

They had Calzaghe Jones closer than most too I think.

it maybe true... that they are negative or ignorant....

but sometimes the other extreme is just as bad.... i was put off by Sky yesterday.... and how much they were up Hattons arse...

Also, the post fight analysis was shite.... i didn't like how they were making out it was an essential stoppage and it was neccessary.... Hatton didn't have paulie sprawling around and unless he was injured (which we don't know) the stoppage made no sense.

I don't mind guys like Woodhall on Setanta.... He had the Calzaghe-Jjones fight equal at round 6.... which from a certain POV you could understand..... I think he was marking according to shot qaulity over qauntity... As he perhaps thought the US judges would.

The BBC would crawl over broken glass to avoid appearing jingoistic.

They'd be better off trusting their judgement and calling it as they see it.

Its typical of the hypocrisy on here sometimes...

Richie Woodhall was voted best analyst on here a while back, BUT when he dares score a few rounds against Hatton the BBC are anti-Ricky, Joe, SKY & anyone else who didnt score the fight like that Hatton suck up merchant Jim Watt, who incidentally everyone hates on here with a passion.

    You couldnt make it up...

Oh yeah, in the spirit of full disclosure I ought to point out I haven't seen the Hatton fight yet.

At 3.30am with a foregone conclusion in the offing...Kip > Hatton.

You can't take some peoples opinions on Woodhall...
    My opinion on the BBC.....
And other peoples opinions on Jim Watt....

....and decide that we're hypocrites :patsch How does that work? Person a think Woodhall is great, person b thinks Watt is shite, so if person c says Woodhall is crap, he's a hypocrite? :rofl

Plus, it's not just a Hatton fight, is it? I gave you a fair few examples.

i think he was talking about the website RBR

woodhall actually had the correct score (same as the judges) on the radio

i think this happens mainly because of ignorents (have you seen the people they have covering the fights?) there is this guy on 5live that reads the news headlines they sent to MSG to cover calzaghe vs jones and he didn't know his left hook from his right lead, he was hopeless

the other reason is the BBC have a bunch of snobs who hate boxing and the hate the sport to be in the mainstream, this comes across in the way they report on the fights and generally sort of roll their eyes when the there's even a hint of a mension of the sweet science

True. The radio broadcasts also tend to make the punches sounds like death from above.

They got the Collazo fight right then, IMO. The rest, not so much.
