Good read, it clearly demonstrates that Mayweather was not "afraid" to fight Pacquiao and that boxing is in dire need of more stringent testing for drugs. Like the last part of the article said, maybe something good comes out of the whole situation.
Strange how Chambers and Ward both win surprising and spectacular wins, and both are cients of a guy previously convicted of juicing athletes...
Good, if anyone is going to accuse someone of taking steroids it should be someone who knows about the stuff (Conte). You *******s are incredible, Mayweather Sr. is just a crackhead so his accusations shouldn't be taken seriously and now that Conte is saying boxing's drug testing is a joke, you throw his word out of the window because he was the one supplying athletes with the illegal substances.
*******s listen to a guy who knows what he is talking about. Mayweather is the face of the sport and he changing it for the better lol
You're right, Conte may have been (or still is) one of the biggest suppliers of designer drugs but he also knows what he's talking about. And I think it's strange that a lot of boxing fans don't seem to know how today's drugs work and how they can be detected. And the very low punishment for caught fighters makes it even worse! I still see Pac as innocent until proven guilty and Floyd as innocent because he only fights in Nevada where his drugs are allowed (very strange btw) but the point here is that boxing is far and far behind other sports if it comes to testing the athletes... I already mentioned the point once of the female speedskater who is never tested positive but is banned for 2 years anyway because of spiking blood values at big events... no Olympic Winter Games for her! So even the very intensive Olympic testing falls short nowadays, and Boxing is nowhere as far as the IOC methodes.
its insane, that anyone is defending the actions of a fighter, who only wants the tests of his choice and within a certain timeframe. ANYONE, and yes i mean anyone, also on esb, should know better. im a sports lover, ive done numerous sports myself and watch a hell of alot on tv. Everything from cycling with the strictest testing to boxing which really has none. it amazes me, that in a sport where the goal is to destroy and hurt another human being, that there isnt a real strict testing procedure in the pro´s.. they do it in the amateurs ffs hopefully floyd actions, for once, can lead to something good.
"In 2000, a post-fight drug test showed that the then IBF, WBC and WBA light-heavyweight world champion Roy Jones Jr and his opponent Richard Hall both tested positive for androstenedione, which was banned by the IBF. Jones was able to keep his titles and was not fined or suspended for the positive test by the IBF."

Yeah! If they're taking drugs they're immediate suspects. If they're not taking drugs they're immediate suspects. WTF are they thinking being involved with this man?
