There's a show on later I do believe. Bunce is on, I guess they will mostly be talking about the Haye fight, may well tune in.
Good news if it is on. I thought it would be surprising to have a big fight like this without a 5 Live preview.
Nice one - I've been flicking between this and local radio (football commentary not easy listening) and trying to avoid Colin Murray on R5 is practically impossible. Hope to hear 'let's get ready to rumble' sharpish
Shame that on the eve of a world heavyweight title fight in the UK the BBC can only give 30 minutes of a 3 hour sports show to tomorrows fight.
Colin Murray giving his analysis of Haye-Ruiz :-( Something along the lines of...."because Valuev was so big, Haye won't be fazed by Ruiz" Great insight Colin.
If I had a pound every time DLH and Booth have said "Styles make fights" in the last couple of weeks, I'd be on the road to being rich.
Tough crowd in here. I thought it was excellent. Sounds like Hayes going to put a sustained beating on Ruiz as the gameplan if ive read that right.
Was OK, but as you say, far too short, 30 mins is not long enough and a poor effort from the beeb for only allowing such a short time slot. There were not enough credible guests and the show was certainly not in depth enough - it was more like a summary. It is worrying that the BBC boxing shows don't even appear to be what they were 12 months or so ago. Colin Murray covering boxing sits uneasy with me.
Colin Murray, the dude that does the Europa league coverage on channel 5 the best guy to host a show on the 1st Heavyweight title fight here in 7 years? Have to say though that even though some of the media coverage of this fight hasnt been great (how many times has "Ruiz has never been stopped" been written??) at least theres been more coverage than boxing normally gets in mainstream media, plenty of national newspaper stuff etc its good to see Thanks alot johnoli for the news wouldnt have known otherwise
