Didn't something like that happen to Wlad a few years back?:think Just because Wlad hasn't defended in a short time span before, doesn't mean he can't do it. He hasn't had to do it before. Does he look to you that he needs a long break after any of this fights? He appears like he could keep going jabbing away for another 12 rounds. How about replacements brought in for fights? Anderson had 6 weeks between facing Groves and that dude who gave Cleverly 12 hard rounds had 9 weeks before his last fight and took it on a weeks notice. Is he fitter than Wlad? And a certain other Klitchko went 12 rounds to win the European title then fought Orlin Norris 9 weeks later. Haye should just go along with it. It looks like Wlad believes he and Dell boy are easy pickings. If Wlad pulls out then he will take the abuse but don't string him up because you think he cannot do it. He said he can do it so its head thats on the block. Haye would get the sympathy if Wlad screws up and he could do with the positive PR after that Audley fiasco. This fight isn't as big as you think over here. Khan Maidana was a fight in the US between 2 guys who had headlined HBO shows. It would be a one day presser at the most. Wlad is lucky to get ESPN.com treatment and thats when he fights an American. And when was the last time Haye was on US TV? It would be the same for both guys after all. Haye can pop into the hotel gym and all he needs is someone poking at him with a boxing glove on a stick like he did in Cyprus last time.
Questions for Booth: 1. Is it true, as Bernt Boente claims, that Haye, as part of the Valuev fight deal, signed away percentages of his earnings for his next three fights to Sauerland Promotions? 2. If so, is it in David Haye's financial interests to fight Wladimir Klitschko next, or is it in his financial interest to take another fight first and finish the Sauerland deal? 3. If it is in Haye's financial interest not to fight Wlad next, why should we believe anything he says about problems with TV schedules, problems with booking the venue or Wlad ducking him?
