Duran-Buchanan deserved a rematch after the controversial ending Benn vs Barkley stupid 3kd rule ruined what could have been an ATG war Macklin vs Sturm anywhere outside of Germany
Recently, would have loved to have seen Cotto Mosley straight after first fight. One of my favourite recent bouts.
Rematches that I'd have wanted to see..... Cotto vs Mosley DLH vs Trinidad Marquez vs Barrera Margarito vs Williams Rematches that I hope to see..... Ortiz vs Maidana Williams vs Lara Macklin vs Sturm Huck vs Cunningham Rematches that I don't want to see..... Khan vs Prescott Bradley vs Alexander Pacquiao vs Cotto Froch vs Dirrell
How anyone can score that to Tito I will never understand. Unless you're from PR, blind or in the employ of Don King.
I can't remember how I had it last, maybe 7-5 to Oscar. Still, it's his own fault, especially knowing that judges in Vegas take aggression into account regardless of whether it's effective or not. Fighting the way he did in those last few rounds almost makes me think he deserved to get fired.
Nigel Benn vs. Gerald McClelland would have been top drawer, but sadly that couldnt happen for obvious reasons. Mike Tyson vs. James “Buster” Douglas would have possibly shown how good tyson could have been after a crushing defeat. Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Pernell Whitaker after the controversial draw could have proved to be a belter.
Tactically dumb, yes, but he still took seven rounds clearly. Being passive the last three shouldn't have changed that.
The episode of Legendary Nights is interesting, one of the judges gave Trinidad three of the first four rounds, and another gave Oscar the last. It seems a fair bit closer if you watch it with the sound down, listening to Lampley on Oscar's nuts all night is not only embarrassing, but misleading too. Sure, DLH was winning the fight clearly but it wasn't a whitewash. I suppose DLH was only really a ten round fighter, and couldn't hide the fact that he was knackered and encouraged the opponent onto him more - this was a feature of both losses to Shane too, even though he was ripped off in the second fight. He only really turned it on against Quartey and Vargas in the late rounds.
