Hopkins - RJJ

 

Pacquiao-Marquez... in the future, but too late probably. Hoping Juan can pull it off and make it a thriller.

 

I reckon Marquez gives him a good fight. Pac won't way 165 lime Floyd did. Pac won't go ultra defensive Like Floyd did. Don't forget, JMM has just destroyed a come forward hitter in Katsidis. I for one think it'll be a good fight. Pac will knock him out tho, but it's no pushover

 

Four recent ones I'd like to see again:

Khan vs Midana
Burns vs Martinez
Edwards vs Edwards
Froch vs Kessler

 

Alex Arthur Vs Michael Gomez would have been a great rematch.

Internationally, I'd like to see a rematch between Tavoris Cloud & Glen Johnson. It was a top class fight first time around and it was very, very close in my opinion.

Hopkins vs Roy Jones Jr was a rematch that happened too late.

 

Yeah, I think Cloud was fortunate to get the nod in that one.

Johnson has been on the wrong end of a few close decisions, the first Dawson fight was razor thin yet all the cards read 116-112 x3. The rematch was more conclusive but the cards were closer..... odd.

 

Rematches that should've taken place: B-Hop Vs Calzaghe

 

I had Johnson 1 round ahead in that Cloud fight but it was so close that I wouldn't have begrudged the result going either way. Shame for Johnson though, as you say he deserves a bit more luck.

I respected Cloud a lot more after that fight though, it was an improvement on the Woods performance imo where I thought he seemed too intent on looking for a KO and didn't really give Clinton the respect he deserved as a top fighter.
