Yakuza involvement killed K1 and Pride in Japan Boxing is a bit more fractured , individuals might go down, but the stain on the whole sport will most likely remain Unfortunately, having criminals as acquaintances has always been attractive for sportsman and other celebs
If you had a choice to live in a shiny skyscraper in Dubai where you're treated like a businessman, or live in dreary Dublin where the police are watching your every move, where would you live? Its why he moved operations to Marbella in the first place, and when things started getting hot there, he moved again. Hes not in exile because hes in fear of other criminals, he just doesn't want to be surrounded by the Irish law. The Kinehans would be seen as the major grouping in Irish criminality, theres different areas and groups, but they're a big one.
Hutches were part of the Kinahan group until Gary Hucth got killed. Hutches are a small group of armed robbers/hitmen whereas Kinahans are a cartel involved in mass supply of drugs, Kinahans becausr of there wealth are much bigger, Hitches while the main man Gerry is loaded from his big bank jobs from back in the day woupdnt have near the money of the Kinahans but they do have the backing of Dissident Republicans up North. Most people view the Hutchs as the better because a small group of men took on the army of the Cartel but they are scum and bullys also.
Felt poorly made Half of the people interviewed were friggin journalists for "The Sun" Like c'mon bruh.
They might as well have had the plods from the various police forces just read their "not enough evidence" line and cry a little then end the program because that's all I got from it.
I expected more instead it was a poorly hashed-together junk documentary. Telling us something we already know. Normally you get some good investigative journalism from these types of shows but not this one, just have a dude stand outside a gym and look sad with some eary music. & the weird promotional feel for AJ Fury behind it all
That’s what I love about Barry you can’t do anything to a man with no fear, he refused to take sides during the conflict days and fought under his flag of peace that would be something to fear more, but the shape of a real man is there’s nothing to fear if you are true to yourself, I won’t watch the documentary myself, propaganda at best
I see that the Kinahan's have finally been sanctioned by the US - I wonder if this will have any impact on MTK. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61077645
All those boxing figures who have kept talking about him and announcing publicly that he's involved with them in this or that way have been playing with fire. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more was foolish enough to keep mentioning him. That could cause a blowup on the level of the early 90s IBF trial. I've wondered aloud here before: how much of boxing is dependent on money laundering? What would happen if that money was gone? When you see a nice venue and multimillion dollar purses but the seats are empty and the RBR thread is quiet, how are they paying for all this? Of course when you put on shows some will be hits and others misses, but who can seriously believe Don King is making a profit $20 at a time on his website?
