**** knows but it can't be much. Ben Dirs is a complete ****ing idiot. The only thing he ever does is preach from his self righteous perch and slate boxing. Must be the Audley Harrison fiasco biting them in the ass 10 years later.

as if Audley Harrison managed to not only ruin box office boxing for Sky Sports he also managed to almost completely eradicate boxing from terrestrial television.

This guy has been a cancer on boxing from the day he turned pro.

To be fair, you can't accuse Harrison of ruining Box Office for Sky sports.

I think you can, the backlash for his fight (or lack of) against Haye was tremendous.

A friend of mine worked for Sky, and he said, the week after the fight people were going ****ing CRAZY demanding it be taken off their bill, saying they would cancel and move to Virgin etc if they were charged for it.

To be fair, maybe it's a stretch to say he single handedly was responsible for the end of Sky Box Office fights but i do think he most certainly contributed to it's downfall.

I think that was the time when Sky really started looking closely at exactly what they were putting out on PPV.

BBC pulling the plug on Boxing, however, I attribute solely to Harrison.

But Audley was known to be **** long before that. It's not like he hid the fact and then suddenly unveiled his shittiness when he got on SBO.
Everyone had seen him being crap on the BBC or on ITV for years.

Haye's the bigger culprit in that fiasco (and even he told everyone it was a mismatch).

Most people who bought Haye against Valuev and Wladimir thought they'd been had too, because, let's be honest, those fights were 24 rounds of utter garbage.
