An improvement on last month's perhaps... 01- Floyd Mayweather 02- Manny Pacquiao 03- Joe Calzaghe 04- Antonio Margarito 05- Miguel Cotto 06- Juan Manuel Marquez 07- Kelly Pavlik 08- Israel Vasquez 09- Ricky Hatton 10- Paul Williams
Williams moving up on account of Margo winning. I've seen this type of rankings movement before, and I do agree with it's logic...but in this case, Williams does not deserve a top 10 or even top 20 P4P slot.
Why? He has 'retired' before only to fight again, so his word cannot exactly be relied upon. Officially a fighter must be inactive for one calendar year before he is dropped from the rankings.
Exactly their reasoning. I don't agree with Floyd being on it, but I don't think it destroys the credibility the BBC enjoys as an institution
but this time he even vacated his titles until he says otherwise hes retired and shouldnt be in any list. Bigtime hasnt been here a long time maybe he got a job at the BBC with his five master degrees and **** and made that list.
He's vacated his titles. Called off a fight where he would be earning $20million at least, and slagged off HBO. He's retired.
Cotto gets KO'd by an unranked P4P fighter and stays at number 5? He'd still be at number 4 but they had to put Margo there...
neither Williams nor Hatton deserve a top10 ranking currently. A win over Cotto doesn't catapult Margarito into the top 3 either. Since Floyd's retired this would make him the 3rd best fighter in the world, according to this list. Completely ridiculous..
One did for 6 rounds. But thats not the point, what other rankings would allow a boxer to lose to an unranked fighter and only drop one place?
horrible list...williams shouldnt be on there and floyd is retired...pavlik is better than margarito lb 4 lb as well
