Do you agree/disagree with the boards decision? http://boxingnewsonline.net/latest/news/board-of-control-suspends-stephen-smith
Yeah what has it go to do with them? contract is between manager / promoter and fighter! It basically Rabbit hole getting himself excited again and destroying fighter's future's!
The rules are there to protect the interests of both the fighter and the promoter/manager - both pay for the boards services so it is only fair. If a promoter ditched a fighter under a contract becuase he lost or something then we would be up in arms and rightly so if Swifty 'owes' something to Warrren legitamatley he needs to address this and not just think he can run off to fast car at the drop of a hat...After the shannigans with Haye-Chisora and the re-emergence of the Hearns its not likely that the board will be swayed because its ****** IMO...
Great point! I wonder why they havent! could it be that Rabbit hole would just make there life even more difficult and make sure there was no chance of actually making any money.
Rabbit hole doesnt seem to know any other way than legal! I wonder what he does when he has a disagreement with someone that's actually his friend! lol
The board are just laying down the law that fighters under contract can't jump between promoters with impunity. The Board can obviously see the threat that a Hearn monopoly would bring. The Board are protecting themselves as they know the Hearn's intention is to take over British boxing. Isn't Barry Hearn the chairman of world snooker. Who thought that would ever happen?
who knows...the reason I asked the Question was to find out if possible exactly who hasn't been paid as it annoys me when people jump on the bandwagon and make statements about frankks fighters not being paid with no proof other then urbans myths and say the Calzaghe thing and maybe Burns' manager alluded to It as per one of the reasons he left for fast car. Going back to my point, the board is there to protect its members both fighters and promoters etc if a fighter hasn't been paid and has a dispute he can refer to the board to deal with the issue - Warrren or whoever could potentially lose his licence if in breach
Yep I understand and yes you may be correct, when it comes to boxing there's no proof about anything, excpet the actual result but who knows what happens behind the most corrupt (allegedly) sport there is!
