I thought that Wilder would win, but it's the way that he won that surprised me. I thought he would just go out swigning for the fences everytime, but he outboxed Stiverne beautifully.

Yes. I thought he would lose. I still don't think he's great or anything but he's better than i thought

Proved a lot of people wrong including myself, but he still has an awful lot more to prove.

He's wasn't lucky that Stiverne didn't get into range.

    He kept him at range

He answer all the critics and the troll on this site. For years people claimed this guy was a bum, glass jaw, etc etc etc. I would just happy that an American heavy weight was finally making some noise in that division. Wilder didn't crumble under pressure, he showed he can take a punch, showed he can go 12 rounds and showed that his power is real. I think time will tell when to see if Wilder can knock off some of the big boys in that weight class. The only thing I can say whoever faces him has a very tough task !!!

Yup. He proved me wrong. And I hope he continues to improve and reaches his full potential. He has the physical tools, but the question is does he have a chin? If he has a chin, he'll be great. And I'm rooting for a great American HW champion.

The Stiverne fight proved that Wilder doesn't have a china chin.

He was hit square on the chin by Stiverne, and never came close to going down. But then again going down to me doesn't mean anything unless you don't or can't get up.

Wilder beat Stiverne's ass. You can give Stiverne any excuse in the book that you want, but Wilder beat his ass.

Wlad was sick against Brewster too wasn't he? Foh with your armchair excuses.

Can you provide a GIF or something to show a CLEANLY landed punch right on the button.

Do you know what round. What 3rd of the fight. Which half of the fight?????

I just need to review it for the 5th time to see what I missed.:lol::lol:

Stiverne NEVER hit him SQUARE on the chin.

And the few times Stiverne landed ANYTHING resembling a solid punch, Deontay went into full Grabimir Klnchko panic mode.:lol::lol:

He proved me wrong, in one fight, but when he fights at true elite HW level he will lose.
