Be Honest. Did you abandon your favorite boxer after a lost?

Dont have a #1 favorite boxer, but one of my favorites, Lucian Bute lost to Carl Froch. Had high hopes for a competitive fight and believed Bute would win a decision. Some of the haters/doubters/observant questioned his chin quite a bit in the past. Turned out their pretty right lol.

Its tough to see that because he's gone against a good few heavy punchers in the past. But those guys also weren't good counter-punchers. What he hasn't gone against is a good counter-puncher who's got pretty good power. That was Carl Froch.

Still hope to see Bute get some spectacular KO's and stoppages in the future. His offensive style is really fun to watch. Hope he can work on handling punches better. He had done a good job avoiding most of heavy punches in the past vs B caliber. But when you step up to A caliber, you're gonna also need a good chin when those guys do deck you, which they will.

Definitely not abandoned or forgotten.... hopefully things can progress and get better for him as a fighter. Same thing with David Lemieux.

lol, that fight was so funny. My friends and i were like - why is he being so damn cautious, this **** is boring. Ohhhhh... i see why now. That dood is dangerous! Ohhh.... WTF!!!!

Boxing, anyone can get caught good. Especially if every round is like the same, you get complacent and bored. Jones needs to stay disciplined, sharp, and maybe toughen up that head a bit. Definitely champion caliber when matured...

 

I'd chalk that up to retrospect and hindsight, honestly.

Hell come to think of it, my newer favourite guys have come down in flames too. Juanma, Bute, Floyd is on his way out, Gamboa is buying cars and not fighting.

Gatti was my favorite fighter, so it's kind of obvious I could accept my favorite fighter losing :yep

I remember on bscene I was the only one who was supporting Froch against Arthur Abraham.

I was the lone supporter of Haye after he loss to WLad. If he loses to Chisora Ill probably abandon.

i dont quit on a fighter or team i am a fan of

only time i start to stop rooting for a guy is if they do not behave like a fighter in defeat

 

The thread starter needs to get a social life and not spend his entire day on here investigating posts. I really wonder if he ever has been to a party in his entire life.

 

He's the biggest ***** on here. To come here and find ways to spit at people is his obsession.
