Its according to what an indiviual is looking for in a fight or fighter. A well rounded student of boxing watches a fight with a different mentality than a casual fan and therefore draws a different conclusion as to wheather a fight or fighter is boring.

His tactics in the Kessler fight was awful to watch... 5 "accidental" headbutts... hitting and holding all the time. Dirty tactics. God damn spoiler.

His fights against Green and Abraham were boring too. I found the Dawson and the Froch fight more interesting....

Oh, not at all. His style may get ugly, the way certain styles clash, but overall, absolutely not boring, to me. A very intriguing technician and tactician with good speed and athleticism.

ward still clearly beat kessler and was the better fighter
a lot of bernard hopkins' fights were also 'boring', but the point is that these guys are the best at what they do, but sometimes it isnt always what paying fans want to see

Well imo he clearly beat Kessler using illegal tactics. I agree that Ward looked faster and stronger early on, but if he was so much better then Kessler why did he need to use his head + his hit and hold tactics?

depends if you think the headbutts were deliberate or not
hit and hold works for a lot of fighters to frustrate their opponent and stop them getting into a rhythm - if the ref allows it then it works both ways

kessler is a good fighter and i know how big he is in denmark, but at the end of the day hes a gatekeeper - along with froch

Not at all, constant sharp punches bouncing in and out, and lands hard punches on the inside. Don't see how you can call the Dawson fight boring at all.

We will see if Ward wants to rematch Kessler at some point (Ward himself have said they have unfinished business)

Well the hit and hold tactic is in my opinion boring and spoils the fight.
