None of Wards fights at home were close or contentious.

If there had been some home town cooking on the cards, then a case might have been made, but he won them all convincingly.

Dont see wyhat difference it makes where the fight is held. It shouldnt affect a fighters ability to fight.

You go there well in advance,acclimatise...whats the big deal. In the end,the reason people want fights in their home town is to make more money. Dont think it has anything to do with how well they think they'll fight,or how it will affact the opponent.

Also, the likes of Kessler & Froch have a few fans that would follow them anywhere

Not sure if the same applies to Ward, can you see anyone following him to fight in Europe / UK ??

I doubt they knew Ward would be just handed points though

Do you think when Ward was just given 2 points whilst the other contestants fought replacements was fair?

It dont matter Ward would school the English bum in America,England or Antarctica and still become the best supermiddleweight fighter of all time.

yes.he was given bye when he had 2 wins and couldn't loose his place in semifinal.after taylor retired he fought a replacement.he wasn't given 2 points.but with 2 wins there was no point in giving him yet another replacement who had no chance to advance further.

How would beating Froch who lost to unwell Kessler coming off a loss make Ward the best SMW of all time :lol::patsch.
No I doubt Ward would do well in Europe, as you probably know most American SMWs cant win big fights in Europe. They seem to crumble mentally

A Abraham made it into the semi finals with just one win, so lets not get carried away about already being in the final. Rules are rules. Like in football qualifiers

Abraham was never the favorite but without the Kessler eye injury all 3 would had reached the semifinale.

Abraham got schooled he was just to small for 168. On the otherside he was getting closer to chicken Direll's chin before he made a mistake.

Kessler fought with only one healthy eye and had baised Referee and judges against him

btw Green and Direll were exposed too

The finale should be in the US that's OK the scandal is that Ward never had to leave the USA for the tournament and had 3 fights in his hometown with
    biased referees and judges.

While I agree with you 100% that the tournament was tailor-made for Ward and he got all the advantages one could ask for, I couldn't help but point out that you only have 2 points, not 5, as you restated the location bias in different words 4 times.

yes but what were those rulles?lets say showtime would have invited bute for 1 fight against ward for his last match.ward is already in semifinals with 2 wins and he loose that one.who goes next?
you have froch 2-1,second semifinalist.johnson and bute 1-0 and aa 1-2.who would you pick to join ward and froch?bute and johnson who only fought 1 fight or abraham who was there from begining and fought 3 fights?how can anyone know that bute and johnson would not have lost next 2 matches?i think it was fair, johnson and green fought for a place in the semifinal against froch/abraham.looser of froch/abraham meet ward, the hard semifinal, and the winner would get the easy semifinal because they had 3 hard fights.ward had an easier nontitle fight against bika but he was given the harder semifinalist.at least in theory
