Judah does not have more skill than Pacquiao. He may be more technically conventional, but that's different than actually being more skilled. He was never to beat anyone elite and had similar athletic advantages.

Floyd does not beat every aggressive fighter ever. "He was born to beat aggressive fighters" is not an argument, it's an opinionated conclusion with no analysis. Floyd has lost rounds against aggressors before, he's not categorically immune to it. We all know he's a counter-puncher, but his style is distinct from Marquez and thus holds unanswered questions as to how he'd deal with Pac. That's just a fact.

Pacquiao would have stopped Margarito just because he was stopped before? This "leftovers/damaged goods" standard needs to stop.

There's no point in arguing Pac's merits with you because you're a known Floyd nut-hugger. I'm not even claiming Floyd would win, but the facts I put forth remain. He closes the distance quicker than Marquez, has more explosive power coming forward, is quicker of hand and foot, and is more proven against other fighters 140 and above.

A Marquez rematch would have been interesting but doesn't look possible.

**** If I remember correctly, in their first fight when he was knocked down 3 times in the first round didnt he suffer a broken nose? Then fought on for 11 rounds and arguably won the fight.

A couple of weeks ago, you started a multi-thread analysis of JMM/Mayweather, in which you stated that JMM would have had more success against Floyd if he had baited him, fiented more, and tried to time him.

Now you're saying that Pac would have been tougher because he could pressure Floyd better using his superior hand and foot speed.

In reality, Pac would be just as reluctant to let his hands go against Floyd as he was against JMM. He'd force Floyd backwards, but Manny is not Ricky Hatton; he is an in-and-out fighter and not really adept at smothering opponents. His tendencies alone would afford Floyd time to measure him coming in and pick him off. And when they did get in close quarters, it would be Floyd doing the body work. Manny can't fight on the inside.

If Manny doesn't catch Floyd cold early, he cannot win. Maybe if they had the exact same height and reach...

 

Anyone who understands boxing would agree how stupid this comment is - Marquez is a style dream for Floyd, no matter how many new muscles Marquez grows.

Pacquiao's weakness is his recklessness but his style is far more troublesome for Floyd than Marquez
