Be honest, people really dont care if Floyd's opponents are dirty as long as he loses

Let's look beyond Maidana, because he's not cheating. But just in general over the last 6-7 years since Mayweather has replaced De La Hoya as the cash cow of the sport, people really haven't given a **** if his opponents were dirty or not as long as there is a chance he can lose or at least be permanently damaged.

I mean people laugh about him getting low blowed by Zab Judah, all hell would break lose if that happened to someone else. People in retrospect are mad as **** that Floyd didn't fight Margarito, never mind the fact that we now know that Margo was cheating with plastered gloves. People are okay and accepting of Manny forfeiting millions of dollars dodging drug tests with contradictory excuses just because they thought he could beat Floyd, but if another fighter in a mega-fight situation did what Manny did people would crucify him. Now with the gloves, Maidana is innocent. But that's beyond the point, other fighters can complain about gloves and make crazy demands like how Cotto is doing Sergio and people let that slide. But if one of Floyd's opponents is at least perceived as having bare knuckle gloves, that can slide. Just as long as he loses or gets damaged.

True, but Floyd does make a huge amount of money off people hating him so in sure he doesn't care too much.

The people you are referring to are idiots who will vanish shortly after Floyd retires. There are also legit fans who simply want to see him take on the toughest opponents. His fault or not, he hasn't done it as much as "TBE" should have. He made a ton of money and will retire healthy though...every fighters dream.

People love to hate him, but I think Floyd deep down wants to be loved.

Most people that watch and even pay to watch him rooting for him to lose, not many people love featherfisted fighters anyway.

i agree with what your saying. Im classified as a floyd "hater" but im not. your right a hater wants to see floyd lose by any means possible. I dont. i was pissed off when the score cards were read after the canelo fight and i didnt think his ko of ortiz was dirty. i dont want to just see floyd lose i just want to see floyd man up and fight the fights that matter and that fans want to see. if floyd loses i want it to be on a the up and up not on some dirty ****.

I want marcos to win but I don't hate Floyd. I have pulled for him in several fights(canelo, cotto, hatton, and several more). I watch a ton of boxing and probably don't know a lot about it. Rarely do I see a guy one time and feel like I have to follow his career. The first time I saw marcos was his fight with victor and I've been a fan ever since.
