Be honest with yourselves. Is it normal for a 112lb fighter win a title at 154lbs?

I dont know what the fuss is, ricky hatton would jump from 140 to 200 and back to 140 twice a year.

then again his secret was pies not peds.

And wasnt chris byrd a middleweight in the ams? so he also jumped 50 pounds during his career.

this happens all the time, depends how early a guy turns pro. a 16 year old should weigh less than a 31 year old.

obviously these haters ant started puberty yet and so cannot get their heads round the idea of growth.

I sometimes feel sorry for folks that try to explain simple things like this repeatedly to noobs. Don't get tired though keep on leading them to enlightenment.*:good

The lowest weight that Chavez Sr. has recorded on Boxrec is 116, yet he was able to knock a couple of guys out in the early rounds at 154.

Duran's lowest weight was 119, yet he won fights at light heavyweight and won a title as high as 160.

So, it may not be normal, but great, once in a generation boxers cans do it. :yep

Unless Mexico and Panama were the ones making the best PEDs in the 70s- early 90s.

Yeah, strange how iceman71 hasn't been back to this thread since making that ridiculous 'there's no proof of Floyds weight at 16' statement...
