Be honest with yourselves. Is it normal for a 112lb fighter win a title at 154lbs?

Going up to light middle is a risk but Pac should be able to beat Margo,Margo`s style will suit him.

I can see it as possible, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was exposed as a drug cheat either.

And Floyd wasn't fighting 'grown ass men'? Just because it is amateur, doesn't mean they are teenagers.

    1996 Olympics.
    First Round...Bakhtiyar Tyleganov - Age 20.
    Second Round...Artur Gevorgyan - Age 21.
    Quarter Final...Lorenzo Aragón Armenteros - Age 22.
    Semi-Final...Serafim Todorov - Age 27.

He was 18-19 when he was in the Olympics, but like I said...just because you are amateur, it doesn't necessarily mean you are fighting teenagers...especially at international level.

It wouldn't be history making if it was normal, the title win at 147 was history making, this is just another step. The man is special, haters should at least admit this.

It shows alot of you haven't watched many Pacquiao fights. You really think Pac will be as powerful at 154 as he was at 112? Even though he was only a teenager back then and that he is a full grown man now, he still had more knockout power at 19 when he won the lineal flyweight title than he does now. When he won his flyweight title, Pac beat down Sasakul similar to what Margarito did to Cotto. He was a physical monster back then. At 122, Pac went undefeated in 11 fights and NONE of his fights went the distance. He was so fast and powerful back then that he was able to move up in weight and destroy a prime Barrera in his first featherweight fight ever, even though he was mentally raw.

People who think Pac carries the same speed and power at Welter than he did at Feather really don't know what they are talking about.

If he was as skilled in his days at 112, 122 and 126 as he is now, with the speed and power that he had back then, he would be absolutely unbeatable.

I could be wrong here, but pac turned pro at 16 yes? im sure at 16 floyd was a similar to weight to pac, only he was in the ams.

so they have moved up through the weights at a similar pace, but only pac turned pro sooner.

as i said i could be wrong but that is who i understand it.

dunno about the others, what weight did oscar first fight in the ams?

i dont think anyone else in recent history has jumped weight the same as pac, floyd and oscar??

Mayweather fought at 106 when he was 16 years old.

    HE BEAT A 154 POUNDER.

Pacquiao started his career at 16 at the same weight.

HE HAS NOT BEATEN A 154 POUNDER YET

Pacquiao has world championships in 7 weight classes, Floyd 5.

though Floyd does have a bronze medal.

Disagree with the underline, agree with the bold. Pacquiao is way, WAY more technically sound now than he was at the lower weights. He was a 1 handed fighter until about Barrera 2 when his right hook was actually effective. Way faster and proportionately stronger for the weight, but much less skilled.
