If its not about size then Canelo should have been fighting Ward. That would be him moving up 2 weight divisions to fight the champion. You know, like Lopez is doing.

I think you are the mad one, hernandez is a better fighter than any on Canelo's resume, old fart Mosley coming from a couple of beatings and could not pull the trigger anymore, Cintron the diving World Champion from 3 meters, Gomez the "JWW world beater", Hatton the WW "contender" and Rhodes "the terror" of some county back in England, do I missing anyone?

You seem to discount the impact of the current game and cutting large amounts of weight with 24 hr weigh ins. It's not uncommon to be fighting a JMW on weigh in and be fighting a LHW in the ring. I always defer back to the stat that the consensus greatest P4P fighter, SRR, never fought an opponent who weighed more than 16.5 lbs than him.

 

Seriously they could have reached out to Cotto, unified with K9, fought Lara, gave Vanes a shot, Kirkland is there, so is Molina.

Josesito lopez is jumping up another 7 pounds thats 14 on the scales total from Jr Welter, Lopez will have to add weight, Canelo will cut weight, what are the odds that Lopez walks in at about 152 the night of the fight while Canelo enters the ring as a super middle weight...


This is not at all a good match, will be fun while it last for sure cus Lopez will fight til the death, But does Canelo really deserve an ounce of credit for taking this fight?
