This is a very good observation. I can be quite cynical. I just can't see how this fight can be a legit fight like a real fight. I'm sure there's SOME type of collaboration between the parties to make the fight worthwhile.
I'll be watching it with interest to. I don't see the point of the negativity coming from a lot of us boxing guys who say they will not tune in. The main injustice of this whole thing is this. There are dozens of boxers from 154 and south who would be capable of beating Mcgregor and I would go as far as Lomachenko at 130. Most of them would not make a tenth of the supposed 75 mil in their entire careers as what he is making for this one fight. Can you imagine the frustration, anger and jealousy coming from boxers who see CM come in under their guard and walk off with this huge lump of cash. FM is the money man and a lot of the anger coming from boxers would be vented at him for choosing a guy who has never had a fight over more deserving boxers to make this kind of money.
Yeah. I think Mayweather will let McGregor wins a couple of rounds and coast so he lasts the full 12.
This. UFC fighers get paid in beer and Reebok kit. In terms of the level of their athletes and levels of pay, they are still the little leagues and Mayweather (regardless of what you may think of him) is way, way above them. There's a reason why their biggest ever star has to come crawling on his hands needs to get a pay day from retired boxer.
