No but he won't just ogle Stevenson for 12 rounds like De Los Santos did. He'd lay hands on him whether Stevenson liked it or not. Notice that I said full 48 minute whooping, because yes, Haney couldn't crack an egg himself.
...and yes, I'm aware that Shakur is supposed to have gotten the better of Devin in sparring. But that's sparring.
In case anyone hasn't seen: This content is protected Hardly an embarrassment for then child Haney, as he did quite well against Olympics-bound legal adult Stevenson. Check out Dev's kaioken combo at about 6:45
He might beat him due to his length great jab and size. Although he's not as quick as Shakur but he's definitely not slow. I previously said Shakur would beat him but seeing him in with Santos tonight I'm not so sure. That type of style will cause him problems.
I was thinking the very same thing earlier. Haney would light him up with a consistent body attack all night. Unlike with Loma, it's not like he's going to have to worry anything of any real consequence coming back at him. So nothing to stifle it once he gets started.
