I need people to understand - this wasn't just some kneejerk fly by night immediate reaction.

That goes doubly for fighters. Remember when Victor Ortíz showed his bitchmade colors against Maidana, saying "I'm too young & pretty to be getting beaten up like this?" and people tried writing it off as just some cutesy promo he was cutting to engender a gee-whiz persona like a Golovkin's? And who insisted, no, he just showed us what he is, and now that his character has been laid bare there's no recovering for him, every opponent will know he's a punk and he will not reach the pinnacle of the sport? This guy right here. And guess what? Ortíz would go 9-5-2 in the remainder of his career, with only a single victory that was meaningful and not over a shot opponent - and Berto (prime but himself deeply flawed) later avenged that defeat, brutally.

Not only would Haney smack the bejeezus outta Shakur at this point, I'm not sure I wouldn't heavily favor both Kingry and Tank.

It wasn't like DLS is some monster. I know @CST80 had hyped him up a tiny bit and favored him to beat Stevenson, but after watching that abomination the pair of them put on, and some clips of De los Santos - he's hardly some Cthulhic horror that Shakur should've been crapping his pants over. Okayish at best. Stevenson wasn't in there with an Isaac Cruz or anything.

He was in with a ranked guy his own size, in their prime, who can box a bit and punch a bit, and is southpaw. Oh and he didn't "feew weww". None of these circumstances mitigate the salient fact that he fought like the biggest pussbag any of us can remember seeing with a WORLD TITLE AT STAKE, in a very long time.

I doubt Shakur fights any of them, and if he does he will get mangled and most likely when the going starts to get rough, quit before he gets KTFO.

Best we can hope for is he starts really believing he's able to catch Loma on the downslide but that would be a banana peel for him too.

 

Yes, between 90%-100% of the slapping would be from Haney; virtually all running/holding from Stevenson.
