Greg Knapp upset the odds and took a giant leap up the bantamweight ladder in his last outing when he defeated James Doolan at Cage Contender in Manchester. After fifteen minutes of action, the judges declared the Olympians man the victor, and it sent a message throughout the continent to the other 135lbs fighters. Doolan was regarded in the top three of bantamweight in Europe, but Knapp was able to usurp the Scot with the win. Although there has been talk of a rematch and other domestic battles, Knapp is putting everything else on the backburner as he looks to upset the locals in Umea at the next installment of Battle of Botnia. He will take on Thomas Back (4-2), and the native man is on a four-fight win streak. A dangerous adversary with a potentially epic beard, Knapp talks us through his preparation for the Swede and what's up next for him (including talk of the rematch and a bout with *******). http://www.yourmma.tv/fighters/inte.../greg-knapp-not-heading-to-botnia-to-lose.htm You can check out the interview with Knapp's team mate Wes Murch This content is protected too.
